Pulse of Life

Sometimes a piece of sun
Can shine, even through the darkest of clouds
Sometimes, oh my love,
Like a fountain I overflow—
Feeling all of the
Fairytale loving that lingers in your eyes;
Storybooks coming to life in your eyes.
I watch your lips as the words fall around me
With no fear in soul or body.
You in Me
healing all of the ugliness—
I feel your mind when you’re lying beside me, Love.
Waking in the night to the heat of you
Your pulse of life; it comes ringing through!
and the morning breaks like my fever’s do...
Sunlight climbs to our bed at dawn—
Our sleepy bodies stretch and yawn.
Pulse of life, never be gone!
